Railways
just as they are
We are Ferromedia
A media group specialising in the rail industry. We share news and information about the industry with truth, objectivity and independence.
It is driven by Miguel Bustos, a website developer with extensive training and experience in digital marketing, who has always been passionate about trains and communication.
A little history
2000. On 16 October, Ferro Raíl was born, one of the first websites about trains in Spanish. It contained information about the Spanish rail network, Renfe services and the metro network. A few months later, the Ferro Noticias section was created to cover railway news.
2010. After two years of inactivity due to Miguel’s dedication to managing the magazine Tracción of the Asociación de Amigos del Ferrocarril de Madrid, a new Ferro Raíl returned in December. It was a new version built in WordPress, with only the Ferro Noticias section. The information on the railway network, which also included countries such as Chile, France and Ireland, would remain.
2012. Ferro Noticias is joined by several sister websites within the Ferro Raíl group: Ferro Cultura, to talk about railway culture and the culture that surrounds this means of transport; Ferro Vídeo, with interesting train videos; Trencast, the first railway podcast in Spanish; and Trenvista, Ferro Raíl’s magazine. In addition, some editorial staff began to work.
2015. In an attempt to turn Ferro Raíl into a viable business, Ferro Noticias, Ferro Cultura, Ferro Vídeo and Trencast were merged into Trenvista. This means that the magazine format has been postponed, as Trenvisa has become a portal with news, cultural content, railway videos and other publications aimed mainly at railway enthusiasts. The Ferro Raíl brand disappeared in favour of Neomuk Marketing, which also offered web development services.
2020. Four years after Trenvista failed as a business and remained a hobby with content for amateurs, a new transformation has begun. This time into a professional medium for railway professionals. The Club Trenvista subscription system was born.
2021. In the European Year of the Railway, half of Ferro Raíl, on hold since 2010, is back online. However, since it is aimed at the general public and not at railway professionals, it has been re-launched as a separate website. This is how Viajarentren was born, a guide with practical information to understand the Spanish railway system. The Ferromedia brand is born to replace Neomuk Marketing.
2022. Club Trenvista is replaced by Trenvista Premium as a subscription programme. Trenvista Premium is based on a metered paywall, which makes it more flexible and adapted to the audience. This year also sees the start of the development of the future Trenvista magazine.
2023. We launched the first issue of the new Trenvista magazine.
2024. The first phase of Ferromedia’s internationalisation began with the change of name from Viajarentren to Trainvelling. A change that goes hand in hand with the strengthening of our role as a defender of the accuracy of information and our fight against manipulation and disinformation.
2025. Ferromedia launches Trenvista NAV (Noticias de Alta Velocidad), a new express rail news format, and its English version, Rail News at High Speed. This milestone marks the official launch of Rail News Vista, Trenvista’s global brand.
